Thoughts On The September 2009 Banlist.

Forbidden Cards:


Card of Safe Return
Probabaly a pre-emtive for all the expected undead abuse now with Mezuki at 2.


Crush Card Virus
This card has been around for too long, now that its gone Beatdown and Monarch decks can overextend quite freely.


Dark Strike Fighter
With all the FTKs and OTKs centered around this card, what better idea than to ban this card just to stop all of that FTK madness.


Monster Reborn
Expected, usually every list would involve a revival card going into the Forbidden list and another going into the Limited list.


Limited Cards:


Black Rose Dragon
Unexpected and uncalled for as most players usually only play a single copy in their extra decks anyway.(Other than other decks concentrated on this card to clear the field eg.Debris-Hime, Junk & Debris.)


Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind
Less Black Whirlwind abuse? Anyway this card is too broken and is practically Shrink with a body.


Call of the Haunted
With Monster Reborn Forbidden, usually there would be another revival card being sent to the Limited list.


Cold Wave
Cripples control decks too much.


Demise, King of Armageddon
Konami is trying to prepare for the ritual hype in SOVR???


Mind Control
-1 for opponent and summon a tuner to make a synchro, too strong.


Mind Master
Brain Exploitation Lab abuse?


One for One
Probably to weaken Fortune Lady Lighty and also with all the FTKs and OTKs before Sep 1.


Rescue Cat
AKB. No comment


Solemn Judgment
Unexpected too, but with Breaker at 3 this would weaken Anti-Meta decks severely.


Summoner Monk
See Rescue Cat.


Semi-Limited Cards:

Not much difference to most players.

Chaos FTW.

Irritaing to some people, having to draw their same card again and again.
